Dates: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM every Friday through Zoom for 7th – 12th graders. The program is tentatively scheduled to start in Fall 2025. Final dates will be confirmed soon.
Description: In this course, 7th-12th graders will be introduced to the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning in a hands-on manner. Students will not only learn about the applications of AI models, but they will also learn the theory behind how they work. Topics covered include data preprocessing, an intro to machine learning, decision trees, neural networks, unsupervised learning (K-means clustering algorithm), and students will apply what they learn in interactive coding notebooks. By the end of the course, students will have built a strong foundation and developed confidence in applying AI to areas of their interest.
Students are expected to have some experience with python and an interest in AI.This is a fast-paced course in which many topics will be covered, so regular attendance is expected from the students.
